Analysis of characteristics and selection points of hot stamping foil III

3 Color chip

color chip is a kind of hot stamping material that deposits a layer of mixed paint such as pigment and bonding material on flat smooth objects such as glass, which is peeled off on paper after drying

colored bamboo powder has a history of nearly 60 years in the early stage of heating; Before there was no color foil, this material was used to hot stamp all kinds of colored marks. The color chip is characterized by simple production, bright color, thick and full scalding marks, pure color quality, and not easy to reflect after encountering light. However, because the color chip has no support, it is easy to be broken and not easy to be continuously hot stamping. Due to the good effect of hot stamping pictures and texts with color chips, multicolor high-end books are hot stamped with color chips. When using color chips, you can make and choose them according to your needs. You must master their performance when hot stamping. Because the color chips are not supported, they should be cut into the required format in advance during processing, and then placed piece by piece according to the hot stamping position before hot stamping

4. Metal foil

metal foil is a thin metal sheet made of metal. Hot stamping certain items with metal foil has a history of several centuries in China. Red gold foil was popular to decorate books in the 15th century. Two types of rubber melt gear pump extruders xcp150/100 and xcp120/90 are jointly developed.

the types of metal foils include red gold, silver foil, copper foil and aluminum foil. Among them, drying and constant weight mutual selection of red gold sometimes produce foils, which are used more and have been used for the longest time. Up to now, some valuable books with preservation value are still hot stamped with red gold foil, because red gold foil is not easy to oxidize and can glow permanently

① red gold foil hot stamping. Red gold foil is made of pure gold. The appearance of red gold is very gorgeous, the texture is soft, the chemical properties are stable, it is not easy to lose luster due to oxidation, and the ductility is the best kind of metal. The thickness of the red gold foil used for hot stamping is only 2 μ M or so. The packaging adopts the plane form of a piece of gold foil and a layer of paper

hot stamping with red gold foil is difficult and requires certain operating skills and experience. The operation process is: cutting gold - that is, cutting the red gold foil into the required format specification; Uncover gold - that is, use a camera to lift the gold foil together with the paper; Spread gold - the gold foil to be lifted is spread on the hot plate; Bronzing - put the bronzed version into the hot stamping machine for pressing; Cleaning - after bronzing, clean the excess red gold foil in the storage box. The key to scalding red gold foil is to uncover and spread gold. If you master it well, you can save gold foil and process it smoothly, otherwise it will cause great waste

② silver foil and hot stamping. Pure silver foil is made of pure silver. Silver is soft and malleable next to red gold, so pure silver foil is slightly thicker than red gold foil. Silver has gorgeous appearance, stable chemical properties, and is easy to preserve. It is also a valuable hot stamping material. Before the electrochemical aluminum foil, almost all silver impressions were hot stamped with silver foil

the processing, packaging and hot stamping of silver foil are basically the same as that of red gold foil, except that the silver foil is thicker, which is more convenient for hot stamping than that of red gold foil. Silver foil has a long history of use, but it is rarely used, because generally, the decoration of books with preservation value is mainly gold

in addition to red gold and silver foil, there are copper and aluminum foil to replace gold and silver. During processing, it is made by coating a layer of resin adhesive on the transparent paper base soaked with resin or wax, spreading pre ground copper or aluminum powder on it, pressing it evenly with a roller, and drying it. Copper and aluminum foil are not suitable for extension and are easy to oxidize, so they are rarely used. The packaging form is the same as that of the color chip. With electrochemical aluminum foil, copper aluminum foil is no longer used
